Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.

ATENCION
Coloque un suplemento adecuado por debajo de la
rueda trasera, para impedir su bajada y el consiguien-
te empuje de la caja-filtro aire sobre la tapa de inspec-
ción.
Desmonte la cobertura colín, véase pág. 51 (DES-
MONTAJE COBERTURA COLIN).

PELIGRO
Soporte la parte trasera del bastidor para evitar que
descienda durante el desmontaje del amortiguador.
Destornille y quite el tornillo superior (2), equipado con
arandelas.
Par de apriete tornillo superior: 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Destornille y quite el tornillo inferior (1), equipado con
arandela.
Par de apriete tornillo inferior: 25 Nm (2,5 kgm).
Desmonte el amortiguador (3).

Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.

PELIGRO
Antes de realizar las operaciones que siguen a conti-
nuación, deje enfriar el motor y el silenciador hasta al-
canzar la temperatura ambiente para evitar posibles
quemaduras.
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (4) y (5) que sujetan
el silenciador al motor, guardando los dos casquillos
del tornillo superior (5).
Par de apriete tornillos (4) y (5): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm).
Destornille y quite los tornillos (6) y (7).
Par de apriete tornillos (6) y (7): 10 Nm (1 kgm).
Saque el silenciador.
IMPORTANTE
Durante la instalación, sustituya la
junta colector de escape-silenciador con otra nueva.

ATENCION
Tape el colector de escape del motor para impedir la
entrada de impurezas y cuerpos extraños.

Position the vehicle on the centre stand.

Put a suitable shim under the rear wheel, to prevent it
from lowering and thus pushing the air cleaner casing
on the inspection cover.
Remove the cover of the rear part of the fairing, see
p. 51 (REMOVING THE COVER OF THE REAR PART
OF THE FAIRING).

Support the rear part of the frame, to prevent it from
lowering during the removal of the shock absorber.
Unscrew and remove the upper screw (2), complete
with washer.
Upper screw driving torque: 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Unscrew and remove the lower screw (1), complete
with washer.
Lower screw driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
Remove the shock absorber (3).

Position the vehicle on the centre stand.

Before carrying out the following operations, let the
engine and the silencer cool down until they reach
room temperature, in order to avoid burns.
Unscrew and remove the two screws (4) and (5) that
fasten the silencer to the engine, taking the two bush-
ings of the upper screw (5).
Screws (4) and (5) driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
Unscrew and remove the screws (6) and (7).
Screws (6) and (7) driving torque: 10 Nm (1 kgm).
Remove the silencer.
NOTE
Upon reassembly, change the exhaust manifold-
silencer seal.

Plug the engine exhaust manifold; to prevent any ac-
cidental introduction of the impurities and foreign
matters.
