Lea con cuidado pág. 55 (DEPOSITO COMBUSTIBLE).
Desmonte parcialmente el vano portacasco, véase
pág. 49 (DESMONTAJE VANO PORTACASCO equi-
pado con sillín).
Desconecte el tubo combustible (1) del carburador y
coloque la extremidad suelta en un recipiente.
Vuelva a colocar el vano portacasco en su sede.
Con el mando acelerador suelto, haga girar el motor de
arranque y controle que el flujo del combustible sea re-
gular.
Si el flujo resulta irregular o nulo:
A) Compruebe la integridad del tubo de vacío (2) y, si
fuera necesario, límpielo o sustitúyalo.
B) Compruebe la integridad del tubo combustible (1)
y, si fuera necesario, límpielo o sustitúyalo.
C) Desconecte el tubo de vacío (2) del carburador, in-
troduzca una jeringa en la extremidad suelta y as-
pire.
El combustible debería salir de la extremidad suel-
ta del tubo combustible (1).
D) Desmonte el grifo combustible (3), véase pág. 59
(DESMONTAJE GRIFO COMBUSTIBLE).
Controle que en el filtro del grifo no haya incrusta-
ciones o impurezas y, si necesario, límpielo.
Si ninguna de estas operaciones tiene éxito: sustituya
el grifo combustible.

Pare el motor y espere a que el vehículo se haya enfriado.
Vacíe el depósito del combustible utilizando una bom-
ba manual o un sistema semejante.
Para vaciar del todo el carburador:
Desmonte la tapa de inspección izquierda, véase
pág. 41 (DESMONTAJE TAPAS DE INSPECCION
DERECHA E IZQUIERDA).
Saque la caja filtro completa, véase pág. 145 (FILTRO
AIRE - DESMONTAJE).
Coloque la extremidad suelta del tubo (4) dentro de un
recipiente.
Abra el respiradero del carburador aflojando el tornillo
de purga (5) colocado debajo del tanque.
En cuanto haya salido todo el combustible contenido en
el carburador:
Atornille el tornillo de purga (5) hasta cerrar el respira-
dero.
IMPORTANTE
Atornille con cuidado el tornillo de
purga (5) para evitar pérdidas de combustible del respira-
dero carburador cuando reposta.

Remove the crash helmet compartment, see p. 49 (RE-
MOVING THE CRASH HELMET COMPARTMENT
complete with saddle).
Disconnect the fuel pipe (1) from the carburettor and
put its free end into a receptacle.
Put back the crash helmet compartment in its seat.
With released twist grip, let the starter run and make
sure that the fuel flow is regular.
If the flow is irregular, or if there is no flow:
A) Check the condition of the vacuum pipe (2) and if
necessary clean or change it.
B) Check the condition of the fuel pipe (1) and if nec-
essary clean or change it.
C) Disconnect the vacuum pipe (2) from the carburet-
tor, insert a syringe in the free end and suck.
The fuel should flow out of the free end of the fuel
pipe (1).
D) Remove the vacuum tap (3), see p. 59 (REMOV-
ING THE VACUUM TAP).
Make sure that the cock filter is free from deposits
or impurities and, if necessary, clean it.
If none of these operations is successful, change the
vacuum tap.

Carefully read page 55 (FUEL).
Stop the engine and wait until it has cooled down.
Empty the fuel tank by means of a manual pump or a
similar system.
To empty the carburettor completely, proceed as follows:
Remove the left inspection cover, see p. 41 (REMOV-
ING THE RIGHT AND LEFT INSPECTION COVERS).
Remove the filter casing, see p. 145 (AIR CLEANER -
REMOVAL).
Put the free end of the pipe (4) into a receptacle.
Open the carburettor breather by loosening the drain
screw (5) positioned under the float chamber.
When all the fuel has flowed out:
Tighten the drain screw (5) until the breather has
closed.
NOTE
Tighten the drain screw (5) carefully, to avoid
fuel leaks from the carburettor breather pipe during the re-
fuelling.
