Lea con cuidado pág. 55 (DEPOSITO COMBUSTIBLE).
Desmonte el vano portacasco, véase pág. 49 (DES-
MONTAJE VANO PORTACASCO equipado con si-
llín).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (1).
Saque la tapa (2).
Desconecte el conector eléctrico sonda nivel combus-
tible (3).
Destornille y quite las cuatro tuercas (4) con corres-
pondientes arandelas.

ATENCION
Maneje con cuidado.
Durante el desmontaje no dañe la sonda.
Levante y extraiga la sonda nivel combustible (5) del
depósito.

PELIGRO
Tape la sede sonda en el depósito combustible para
impedir la entrada de impurezas, de cuerpos extraños
y la salida de vapores de combustible.

Vacíe del todo el depósito combustible, pág. 57 (EVA-
CUACION DEL COMBUSTIBLE DEL DEPOSITO).
Recupere el combustible en un bidón, tápelo y póngalo
en un lugar seguro.
Desconecte del grifo combustible (6) el tubo combusti-
ble (7) y el tubo de vacío (8).
Desconecte el conector eléctrico (3) de la sonda nivel
combustible (5).
Destornille y quite la tapa combustible (9).
Extraiga y saque la junta de goma (10).
Destornille y quite los tres tornillos (11) y recupere las
arandelas.
Desmonte parcialmente el vano portacasco, véase
pág. 49 (DESMONTAJE VANO PORTACASCO equi-
pado con sillín).
Saque el depósito combustible.
Enrosque el tapón combustible (9).

Remove the crash helmet compartment, see p. 49
(REMOVING THE CRASH HELMET COMPART-
MENT complete with saddle).
Unscrew and remove the screw (1).
Remove the cover (2).
Disconnect the electric connector of the fuel level
gauge unit (3).
Unscrew and remove the four nuts (4) with the relevant
washers.

Handle with care.
Avoid damaging the gauge unit during the removal.
Raise the fuel level gauge unit (5) and withdraw it from
the tank.

Plug the gauge unit seat on the tank, to avoid any ac-
cidental introduction of impurities and foreign mat-
ters and the exit of fuel vapours.

Drain the fuel tank completely, see p. 57 (DRAINING
THE FUEL TANK).
Put the fuel in a container, plug it and store it in a safe
place.
Disconnect the fuel pipe (6) and the vacuum pipe (7)
from the vacuum tap (8).
Disconnect the electric connector (3) of the fuel level
gauge unit (5).
Unscrew and remove the fillercap (9).
Withdraw and remove the rubber gasket (10).
Unscrew and remove the three screws (11) and take
the washers.
Partially remove the crash helmet compartment, see
p. 49 (REMOVING THE CRASH HELMET COMPART-
MENT complete with saddle).
Remove the fuel tank.
Tighten the fillercap (9).
