Desmonte las tapas de inspección, véase pág. 41
(DESMONTAJE TAPAS DE INSPECCION DERECHA
E IZQUIERDA).
Desmonte el escudo delantero interior, véase pág. 43
(DESMONTAJE ESCUDO DELANTERO INTERIOR).
Desconecte el cable negativo (–), luego el positivo (+)
de la batería.

PELIGRO
Durante la instalación, conecte antes el cable positivo
(+), luego el negativo (–).
Desconecte el tubo de purga batería.

ATENCION
Maneje con precaución la batería.
No la vuelque y no deje salir el líquido electrólito.
Extraiga la batería, véase pág. 149 (CONTROL NIVEL
ELECTROLITO).
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (1), recuperando
las arandelas correspondientes.
Destornille y quite el tornillo (2), recuperando el cas-
quillo.
Destornille y quite el tornillo (3).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (4) y el tornillo trasero
(5).
IMPORTANTE
Maneje con cuidado.
No fuerce el escudo inferior.
Aleje lo suficiente el escudo inferior, véase pág. 53
(DESMONTAJE ESCUDO INFERIOR); destornille y
quite el tornillo (6).
Saque el estribo de su sede.

Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.
Destornille y quite el tornillo (7).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (8).
IMPORTANTE
Durante la instalación controle la co-
rrecta colocación del elemento de goma portatuerca mon-
tado en el guardabarros.
Saque de la sede guardabarros el elemento de goma
tubo freno delantero y el elemento de goma cable
transmisión velocímetro/cuentakilómetros.
Saque el guardabarros extrayéndolo hacia atrás.

Carefully read page 7 (GENERAL SAFETY RULES).
Remove the inspection covers, see p. 41 (REMOVING
THE RIGHT AND LEFT INSPECTION COVERS).
Remove the front inner shield, see p. 43 (REMOVING
THE FRONT INNER SHIELD).
Disconnect first the negative cable (–) and then the
positive cable (+) from the battery.

Upon reassembly, connect first the positive cable (+)
and then the negative cable (–).
Disconnect the battery breather pipe.

Handle the battery with care.
Do not overturn it and take care not to let the electro-
lyte flow out.
Extract the battery, see page 149 (CHECKING THE
ELECTROLYTE LEVEL).
Unscrew and remove the two screws (1), taking the
washers.
Unscrew and remove the screw (2), taking the bush.
Unscrew and remove the screw (3).
Unscrew and remove the screw (4) and the rear
screw (5).
NOTE
Handle with care. Do not force the lower shield.
Shift the lower shield as much as necessary, see
p. 53 (REMOVING THE LOWER SHIELD); unscrew
and remove the screw (6).
Remove the footboard from its seat.

Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
Unscrew and remove the screw (7).
Unscrew and remove the screw (8).
NOTE
Upon reassembly, make sure that the nut-hold-
ing rubber element on the mudguard is correctly posi-
tioned.
Remove the rubber element of the front brake pipe and
of the odometer/speedometer control cable from the
seat on the mudguard.
Remove the mudguard by withdrawing it from the front
part.
