PELIGRO
Coloque un soporte adecuado por debajo del vehícu-
lo para impedir que caiga.
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central sobre
una superficie de elevación, con la rueda delantera
que sobresale del borde de la superficie misma.
Levante la superficie a una altura de 50-60 cm del sue-
lo, para poder extraer fácilmente la horquilla equipada
con la rueda.
Saque el elemento de goma tubo freno y el elemento
del cable velocímetro cuentakilómetros de las sedes
guardabarros.
Desmonte la pinza freno delantera, véase pág. 115
(DESMONTAJE PINZA FRENO DELANTERO).
Levante el elemento de protección (1).
Desenrosque la tuerca (2).
Desconecte el cable velocímetro/cuentakilómetros de
la transmisión rueda (3).
Desmonte el escudo delantero interior, véase pág. 43
(DESMONTAJE ESCUDO DELANTERO INTERIOR).
Destornille y quite la tuerca (4).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (5).
Afloje la tuerca (6).
Par de apriete tuerca: 50 Nm (5 kgm).

ATENCION
No fuerce cables, tubos, conectores y cables eléctri-
cos.
Extraiga del todo el manillar del manguito horquilla.
Extraiga y quite la junta de goma (7).
Destornille y quite la contratuerca (8).

PELIGRO
Sostenga la horquilla para evitar que caiga acciden-
talmente.
Destornille y quite la tuerca de ajuste (9).

ATENCION
Durante la extracción de la horquilla ponga cuidado
en que las bolas del cojinete inferior no se salgan.
Extraiga la horquilla del manguito dirección.
Desmonte la sede giratoria (10) y las bolas (11) del co-
jinete superior.
Desmonte la sede giratoria (12) y las bolas del cojinete
inferior (14).
Limpie todos los componentes cojinetes de la grasa,
sedes fijas (13) y (15) incluidas.
Controle el estado de desgaste de los componentes y,
si fuera necesario, sustitúyalos.
Engrase y pase a la instalación.

ATENCION
Durante la instalación ponga el máximo cuidado con
introducir la cantidad exacta de bolas:
– Cojinete superior (11): # 21 bolas.
– Cojinete inferior (14): # 25 bolas.

Put a proper support under the vehicle, in order to
prevent it from falling down.
Position the vehicle on the centre stand, on a lifting
platform, with the front wheel protruding from the plat-
form edge.
Lift the platform at 50-60 cm from the ground, in order
to be able to withdraw the fork together with the wheel
without problems.
Remove the brake pipe rubber element and the speed-
ometer/odometer cable rubber element from the seats
on the mudguard.
Remove the front brake caliper, see p. 115 (REMOV-
ING THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER).
Lift the protection element (1).
Unscrew the metal ring (2).
Disconnect the speedometer/odometer cable from the
control on the wheel (3).
Remove the front inner shield, see p. 43 (REMOVING
THE FRONT INNER SHIELD).
Unscrew and remove the nut (4).
Unscrew and remove the screw (5).
Loosen the nut (6).
Nut driving torque: 50 Nm (5 kgm).

Do not force the cables, pipes, connectors and elec-
tric wires.
Withdraw the handlebars completely from the fork rod.
Withdraw and remove the rubber gasket (7).
Unscrew and remove the lock nut (8).

Support the fork, in order to prevent it from acciden-
tally falling down.
Unscrew and remove the adjusting nut (9).
a
When withdrawing the fork, be careful to the coming
out of the lower bearing rollers.
Withdraw the fork from the steering tube.
Remove the revolving seat (10) and the balls (11) of
the upper bearing.
Remove the revolving seat (12) and the balls (14) of
the lower bearing.
Eliminate the grease from all the bearing components,
including the fixed seats (13) and (15).
Check the wear of the components and if necessary
change them.
Grease and proceed to the reassembly.

Upon reassembly, pay attention to the correct
number of balls to be inserted:
– Upper bearing (11): # 21 balls.
– Lower bearing (14): # 25 balls.
