Para efectuar este control es necesario:
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.
Sacuda la horquilla en el sentido de marcha.
IMPORTANTE
Sacudiendo excesivamente la hor-
quilla se podría registrar el movimiento del caballete,
mostrando un juego no correcto.
Repita algunas veces la operación anterior.

Desmonte el escudo delantero interior, véase pág. 43
(DESMONTAJE ESCUDO DELANTERO INTERIOR).
Destornille y quite la tuerca (1).
Extraiga y quite el tornillo (2).
Afloje la tuerca (3).
Par de apriete tuerca (3): 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Levante de unos centímetros el manillar.
Desplace la junta de goma (4).
Afloje la contratuerca (5).

ATENCION
No apriete ni atornille con fuerza la tuerca de ajuste
(6) para no dañar los cojinetes dirección.
Atornille la tuerca de ajuste (6) hasta restablecer el jue-
go de los cojinetes.
Controle el juego sacudiendo la horquilla en el sentido
de marcha y comprobando que la dirección resulte flui-
da y libre en la rotación.
Manteniendo parada la tuerca de ajuste (6) en su posi-
ción, apriete la contratuerca (5) con una llave y repita
el CONTROL JUEGO COJINETES.

To carry out this operation, proceed as follows:
Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
Shake the fork in the driving direction of the vehicle.
NOTE
Do not shake the fork excesively, otherwise you
may take in consideration the movement of the stand,
thus observing an incorrect slack.
Repeat the previous operation more than once.

Remove the front inner shield, see p. 43 (REMOVING
THE FRONT INNER SHIELD).
Unscrew and remove the nut (1).
Withdraw and remove the screw (2).
Loosen the nut (3).
Nut driving torque (3): 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Raise the handlebars of a few centimetres.
Move the rubber gasket (4).
Loosen the lock nut (5).

Do not tighten, nor screw the adjusting nut (6) too for-
cibly, to avoid damaging the steering bearings.
Screw the adjusting nut (6) until taking up the bearing
slack.
Check the slack by shaking the fork in the driving direc-
tion of the vehicle and make sure that the steering is
smooth and free in its rotation.
Keeping the adjusting nut (6) steady in its position,
tighten the lock nut (5) by means of a spanner and
CHECK THE BEARING SLACK again.
