Optimization settings

VDS calculates the required speed to achieve this voyage with fixed ETA and lowest
Voyage or spot charters, COA voyage, BALLAST VOYAGE
consumption.
The user enters the Estimated Time of Departure and lay days for loading. VDS calculates the
Voyage or spot charters, COA voyage, CARGO VOYAGE
required speed to achieve this voyage within these limits and lowest consumption.
The planned speed is fixed, the user enters the Estimated Time of Departure and VDS
Time charter
calculates the best ETA and lowest consumptions.
The planned speed is fixed, the user defines the Estimated Time of Departure and VDS
Cargo heating
calculates the best ETA and lowest consumptions.
This option is applicable only for some tankers when the cargo requires to be heated. In this
case the total consumption is calculated as sum of propulsion and cargo heating
consumptions.
