Chart permits
IMPORTANT
The permits are valid for a dongle installed on the PC.
If several ECDIS use C-MAP on board several permits are required (One set per PC) even
the user has only to pay for one C-MAP license.
IMPORTANT
When the installed C-MAP database is updated or a new version of the database reinstalled
the permits are still valid and can be used with the new version of C-MAP database.

RDERING THE PERMITS
Prior to the order of the permits the CMAP database has to be installed in ECDIS.
To order the chart permits, send an email with the vessel needs descriptions to
chartservice@navico.com
The chart permits are sent back to the ship either by email, by fax or directly by phone.
EXAMPLE OF CHART PERMITS:
It is the permit for the zone 0 for a unique installation and a C-MAP database version.

NSTALLING THE PERMITS MANUALLY
To install the permits proceed as follow:
In "ChartHandling" select the panel CMAP.
•
Press the button "Add license manually".
•
Select the zone or area related to the permits.
•
Enter the permits (16 characters)
•
Press "Add license".
•
REMARKS
If several zones or areas have been ordered several codes have been received then repeat the
operation for each zone.
The code contained 16 characters and the application activates the button Add License only if
the entered code contains 16 characters.

NSTALLING THE PERMITS BY FILE
To install the permits received by file select the file xx.usr and the installation is automatic.
