Import/Export a route
To centre the chart on a selected route: highlight the name and press the Localize
button.
To Backup the Active Routes folder to a memory stick: make sure the to be backed up
are shown in the Active Routes folder, plug in a memory stick and press the button
Backup Active Folder; all selected routes will be copied on the memory stick in a folder
marked Routes.
To Lock\Unlock a route: click the small Padlock icon located in front of the name.

MPORT
ECDIS can import routes with different formats:
ECDIS routes (Files with the file suffix .rou)
Route saved as a text file with the appropriate format (See format description above)
Sperry routes (Files with the file suffix .vp)
MaxSea routes (Files with suffix .wpt)
MARIS text format file
The imported routes are stored in the active folder.
To import a route press the Import button and select the route to import.
IMPORTANT
Routes are stored in ECDIS using WGS84 datum. When a route is imported, it is extremely
important to select the datum that has been used for the route creation so that ECDIS to be
able to calculate the exact co-ordinates of the waypoints. If the datum is not correctly
selected the waypoints are shifted.

XPORT
To export a route, select the route from the list and press the Export button. Then select the
location where the route will be stored.
