Potential causes and corrective actions
F
Fixed
Cause
This fault only applies when cells that use AP are used in the system. This
fault can be caused by the following conditions:
CCB detected arc occurred by cell detection hardware.
CCB detected bus over voltage while cell is in bypass.
CCB detected input over current while cell is in bypass.
If no cause can be detected, or if the cell data cannot be retrieved, a Gen‐
eral Protection fault will appear alone.
Action
1. Check for evidence of cell damage.
2. Replace the cell.
F
Fixed
Cause
This fault occurs if six-step cell is selected (750V AP 4Q) and cells do not
configure properly for any of the following reasons:
Not a four-quadrant (regen) type cell.
DSP does not acknowledge six-step enabled.
EPLD does not acknowledge six-step enabled.
Action
1. Check for proper CCB firmware and software.
2. Replace failed cell(s) during maintenance.
A
Fixed
Cause
This alarm only applies when 4Q air-cooled cells are installed. This alarm
is generated when humidity as detected at the celddl exceeds the setpoint
of parameter 2534.
Action
1. Verify that humidity in the area where drive is installed is within the
operating conditions for which the drive operation is specified.
2. If the drive is equipped with a space heater, adjust the temperature of
the thermostat in order to reduce the humidity. Continuous operating
in an environment with high humidity affects the life of several com‐
ponents of the drive, such as capacitors, diodes and IGBT's.
A
Fixed
Cause
This alarm only applies when 4Q air-cooled cells are installed. This alarm
is generated when humidity as detected at the cell exceeds the setpoint of
parameter 2532.
Action
1. Verify that proper cooling is provided for the drive. Inspect and verify
air filters are not clogged.
2. Replace filters if needed.
3. Verify that the ambient temperature in the environment in which the
drive is operated is within the operating conditions of the drive.
4. Verify the load does not exceed the maximum current capability of the
drive.
5. Reduce the load of the drive until the warning is reset.
