STOP HERE IF YOU ARE ONLY CREATING THE KEY FILES; REMOVE USB FLASH DISK and REBOOT
DCR. PROCEEDING WILL RESET YOUR DCR AND ERASE ALL SAVED PARAMETERS ON DCR.
Reboot DCR (leave USB flash disk inserted).
Wait approximately 5-7 minutes for Green LED blink 7x repeatedly.
• If it does not (e.g. Red LED blink 15x repeatedly), recover FAILED
• If the DCR boots up normally and you can connect via Drive Tool or Debug Tool, then the USB
flash drive was not recognized. Try another brand and/or model.
Remove USB flash disk from DCR and place into your PC.
Reboot DCR.
After ~60-90 seconds, you should be able to connect using Drive Tool and Debug Tool using
default IP configuration.
Now you will be able to reload customer-specific parameter configuration file and SOP file from
the USB flash disk.
Then reboot DCR again.
Parameter 7752 – to create update key and restore current DCR state
1. To save current parameter configuration and current SOP:
– from ToolSuite Drive Tool Host, Configuration → Save AS dto save current configuration
– from ToolSuite Drive Tool Host, Configuration → System Program → Upload System
2. On a PC, remove all secure USB key files from USB flash disk OR rename them.
