2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative battery cable first, then
the positive cable from the battery.
3. Remove 10 (T-40) self-tapping screws securing the rear engine guard and
muffler shield to the chassis. Remove the muffler shield and rear engine
guard.

4. Remove 4 (13 mm) nuts with lock washers securing the muffler to the engine.
Remove the muffler from the engine.
