4. Using a digital multi-meter set to the OHM or Continuity setting, verify the
following:
• Pin 2 and 5 should have continuity (closed)
• Pin 1 and 4 should have continuity (closed)
• Pin 1 and 7 should NOT have continuity (open)
• Pin 2 and 8 should NOT have continuity (open)
5. With the switch in the OFF position (button pushed IN):
• Pin 1 and 7 should have continuity (closed)
• Pin 2 and 8 should have continuity (closed)
• Pin 1 and 4 should NOT have continuity (open)
• Pin 2 and 5 should NOT have continuity (open)
1. Park the machine on a level surface and set the parking brake. Stop the
engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative battery cable first, then
the positive cable from the battery.
3. Remove the Philips head screw from the control panel.
4. Disconnect the ignition switch.
