After you have verified that your installation site is prepared as described in "M10i Router
Site Preparation Checklist" on page 39, you are ready to unpack and install the router. It
is important to proceed through the installation process in the following order:
Review the safety guidelines explained in "General Safety Guidelines for M Series, MX
1.
Series, and T Series Routers" on page 147.
Unpack the router and verify that all parts have been received.
2.
See "Unpacking the M10i Router" on page 47 and "Verifying the M10i Router Parts
Received" on page 48.
If necessary, move the mounting brackets.
3.
See "Moving the Mounting Brackets" on page 51.
Install the router.
4.
See "Installing the M10i Router into a Rack" on page 55.
Connect the grounding cable.

Connect a cables to a management device.

Connect the AC power cords or DC power cables.
