The CFEB or CFEB-E is not functioning normally.
When a CFEB or CFEB-E is functioning correctly, the green LED labeled

CFEB or CFEB-E fails, the forwarding and routing functions of the router halt immediately
and do not resume until the CFEB or CFEB-E failure has been corrected.
To troubleshoot a CFEB or CFEB-E:
Check the alarm LEDs on the HCM. If the yellow or red alarm LED on the HCM is lit,

issue the
show chassis alarms
the alarm cause:
user@host> show chassis alarms

Verify that the CFEB or CFEB-E is properly seated in the midplane. Use a Phillips

screwdriver to ensure that the screws are securely tightened.
If you are unable to correct the problem, replace the CFEB or CFEB-E with a spare.

For instructions, see "Replacing, Upgrading, or Downgrading an M10i CFEB or CFEB-E"
on page 103. If the LED lights correctly on the spare, the original CFEB or CFEB-E is
faulty. Return it to Juniper Networks, as described in "Contacting Customer Support"
on page 212.
