The PICs are not functioning normally.
To troubleshoot the PICs:
Check the status of the LEDs located on the PIC faceplate. Many PICs have an LED

labeled
on their faceplate. Some PICs have additional LEDs, often one per
STATUS
port. For information about the LEDs on each PICs, see the M10i Multiservice Edge
Router PIC Guide.
Issue the following CLI command to check the status of a PIC:

If an LED is lit indicating a problem with the PIC, issue the

command to view a more detailed description of the alarm cause:
user@host>show chassis alarms
For a list of messages that can appear in the output, see Table 16 on page 94.
If you are unable to correct the problem, replace the PIC with a spare. For instructions,

see "Replacing an M10i PIC" on page 111. If the LEDs light correctly on the spare, the
original PIC is faulty. Return it to Juniper Networks for replacement, as described in
"Contacting Customer Support" on page 212.
