Using Battery Power
To operate the battery power:
1. Disconnect the monitor from AC power and verify the AC Power indicator
shuts off.
2. Verify the monitor is operating normally and the Low Battery indicator is off.
Note: If the Low Battery indicator is lit, see Battery Charge on page 16.
3. Connect the monitor to an AC power source and verify the AC Power
indicator turns on and the monitor is operating normally.
The following tests are an overall performance check of the system:
• LED Excitation Test on page 29.

LED Excitation Test
The LED Excitation Test utilizes normal system components to test circuit

LED intensity control. The red LED is used to verify intensity modulation caused
by the LED intensity control circuit.
