Clutch / Secondary Drive Gear
1) Remove the clutch drive plates (1) and driven plates
(2).
Refer to "Clutch Removal in Section 5C (Page 5C-
6)".
2) Remove the secondary gear case and driven gear
assembly (3). Refer to "Secondary Driven Gear
Assembly Removal and Installation in Section 3A
(Page 3A-3)".
3) Shift the transmission into 1st gear.
4) Hold the clutch sleeve hub (4) with the special tool.
Special tool
(A): 09920–53740 (Clutch sleeve hub
holder)
: 09920–31020 (Extension handle)

5) Loosen the secondary drive gear bolt (5) and
remove the secondary drive gear (6) and shim (7).

6) Unlock the clutch hub nut.
7) Loosen the clutch hub nut and remove the clutch
sleeve hub (4) along with the clutch drive cam (8)
and driven cam (9).
8) Remove the washer (10) and primary driven gear
(11).
