1D-29 Engine Mechanical:
Cylinder Head (#1 Cylinder)
1) Remove the rear cylinder head.
NOTE
Loosen the cylinder head bolts little by little
diagonally with the smaller sizes first.
2) Remove the rear cylinder gasket (1) and dowel pins.
Cylinder (#1 Cylinder)
1) Remove the cam chain guide (1) and rear cylinder
(2).
NOTE
Firmly grip the cylinder at both ends, and lift
it straight up. If the cylinder does not come
off, lightly tap on the finless portions of the
cylinder with a plastic hammer.

2) Remove the rear cylinder gasket (3) and dowel pins.
Rear Piston (#1 Cylinder)
1) Place a clean rag over the cylinder base so as not to
drop the piston pin circlips into the crankcase.
2) Remove the piston pin circlip (1).
3) Draw out the piston pin (2) and remove the piston
(3).
NOTE
Scribe the cylinder number on the piston
head.

Cylinder Head Cover (#2 Cylinder)
1) Remove the spark plugs. Refer to "Spark Plug Cap
and Spark Plug Removal and Installation in Section
1H (Page 1H-4)".
2) Remove the front cylinder head cover (1) and its
gasket.
