Low compression pressure can indicate any of
the following conditions:
• Excessively worn cylinder walls
• Worn piston or piston rings
• Piston rings stuck in grooves

Overhaul the engine in the following cases:
• Compression pressure in one of the cylinders is
750 kPa (7.5 kgf/cm

less.

• Both compression pressure readings are below
850 kPa (8.5 kgf/cm
650 kPa (6.5 kgf/cm
when they measure 750 kPa (7.5 kgf/cm
psi) (#1 cylinder) and 550 kPa (5.5 kgf/cm
psi) (#2 cylinder) and more.
9) After checking the compression pressure, reinstall
the removed parts.
