TROUBLE ON ONE TELEPHONE

User with a basic telephone drops the first outside call while attempting to

conferece a second outside call.
Possible Cause
The user has put the first call on
hold before dialing the second call.

Recommended Action
Instruct the user to follow this procedure when
conferencing calls:
a. Place first call.
b.
Announce call.
Press switchhook down firmly and then

release it. Intercorn dial tone will indicate the
call is on hold.
d.
Announce call.
Press switchhook down firmly, then release it.
e.
Conference is now complete.
