Before reinstalling magneto remove

the loose epoxy from harness.
ASSEMBLY
1, 7, 15, 16, 17, Armature plate, Loctite 242,
washer, lock washers & screws
Pos1tion th e armature plate on the cran kcase. align in g
the marks on both parts .
Put
a
drop of Loctite 242 on screw thread s and tighten .
Clean c rank shaft exten s1on I tap er)
Appl y Loc tite 242 on taper
7,11,19,20, Loctite 242, flywheel,
lock washer
& nut
Pos1tion w -.J odruff key , magn eto flywhee l, lock washer
on crankshaft
Clean nut threa ds and apply Loctite 242 I blue , medium
strength ) before tightening nut to 95 N•m 170 lbf•ft)
At rea ssembly coat all electric connections w1th silicone
d ielectric grease I PIN 413 7017 OOl to prevent corrosion
or mo1sture penetratiOn .
~CAUTION:
Do not use silicone "sealant", this

product will corrode contacts.
