The ground terminal from generating coil must be fastened
under this
clip.

Before reinstalling magneto remove
T
the loose epoxy from
harness.
ASSEMBLY
1, 7,15,16,17, Armature plate. Loctite 242,
washers, lock washers & screws
Position the armature plate on the crankcase, aligning the
marks on both
parts.
Put a drop of Loctite 242 on screw threads and tighten.
Clean crankshaft extension ltaperl.
Apply
Loctite 242 on taper
7,11,19,20, Loctite 242, flywheel. lock washer
& nut
Position woodruff key, magneto flywheel, lock washer on
crankshaft.
Clean nut threads and apply Loctite 242 (blue, medium
strength
)
before tightening nut to 95 N•m (70 lbf•ft)
At reassembly coat all electric connections with silicone
dielectric grease to prevent corrosion or moisture pene-
tration
.

Do not use silicone "sealant", this

product will corrode contacts.
