The power supplies are located at the rear of the chassis below the SIBs. Each power
supply weighs approximately 10 lb (4.5 kg).
NOTE:
After powering off a power supply, wait at least 60 seconds before
turning it back on.
To remove an AC power supply:
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Switch power switch on the AC power supply faceplate to the off position (

Unplug the power cord from the power source receptacle.
3.
Remove the cable restraint from the right edge of the power supply faceplate by
4.
removing its retainer screw.
Unplug the power cord from the appliance inlet on the power supply faceplate.
5.
Loosen the captive screw on each side of the power supply faceplate completely.
6.
Grasp the flange on each side of the power supply faceplate, placing your hand
7.
between the flange and the chassis.
Pull firmly to start removing the power supply. Slide it halfway out of the chassis (see

248).
