The CIP has two sets of ports that you use to connect the Routing Engines to external
management devices. From these management devices, you can use the CLI to configure
the router.
The upper set of ports, labeled
the lower set, labeled
HOST 1
the following ports:
—Connects the Routing Engine through an Ethernet connection to a
ETHERNET
management LAN (or any other device that plugs into an Ethernet connection) for
