3.3.3 LPH (LED PRINT HEAD)

1.
Original feed unit (See section 3.1.6 "Removing the Original Feed Unit"

Lift and lock the scanner unit (See section 3.1.7 "Raising and Locking the Scanner
Unit.")

Ground wire [A] (# x 1)

On each side of the machine, loosen the screws and move the plates [B] to the rear as
shown.
LPH [C] (& x 2, # x 1)

LPH (# x 6 ribbons [D]). Connect the 3 ribbon connectors with the blue tabs at the
rear.
7.
Lower the scanning unit [E] to prevent damage to the OPC drum.
Reinstallation
1.
Adjust the position of the LPH until it is level.
2.
Set the plates [B] lightly against the studs on each side. Then tighten the screws.
Do not push the plates forward with force against the LPH studs. If the studs are pushed
forward, this could cause the LPH to move out of position and cause images to be too dark.
1.
Do SP2943 and input the values that are printed on the label attached to the
replacement unit. (See section 3.11.3 "LPH Adjustment with SP Codes.")
2.
Do SP2952 and input the values that are printed on the label attached to the
replacement unit. (See section 3.11.3 "LPH Adjustment with SP Codes.")
3.
Make a test print and adjust if necessary. (See section 3.11.3 "LPH Adjustment with SP
Codes.")
