When you look at the copy to identify the areas scanned by each section, the numbering is
in the opposite sequence, with CIS-5 on the left to CIS-1 on the right.
6.2.7 AUTO IMAGE DENSITY CORRECTION
Auto Image Density Correction corrects the background density.
First, the CIS reads the surface of the white strips on the platen plate[A]. The machine uses
these readings as a reference points for density correction.
