6.6.3 TONER SUPPLY MECHANISM

This machine uses dual-component development with toner concentration control. The
toner agitator [A] turns in the center of the toner cartridge to move toner to the paddle roller
[B] in the development unit. Toner then goes to the development roller [C] and the drum
[D].To control the quantity of toner that is supplied to the development unit, the machine
switches the toner supply clutch on and off. The output from the ID sensor controls the
clutch on/off timing. This development unit does not have a TD sensor.
