Floor Loading

When planning the installation, consider the system weight for floor loading. The strength of the installation
surface must be adequate for point and distributed loadings. Approximate weights are shown in Table 1.

Moving the System and Battery Pallets

The system is bolted to a wooden pallet supported by wood skids. The batteries are stacked on a separate pallet
and are held in place with strap binding.
To move the system:
1.
Verify that the forklift or pallet jack is rated to handle the weight of the system (see Table 1 for system
weight).
2.
If not already moved, use a forklift or pallet jack to move the system to the installation area, or as close as
possible. Insert the forklift jacks between the skids at the front of the pallet.
The forklift jacks must be inserted between the skids at the front of the pallet (see Figure 4). If
unloading instructions are not closely followed, moving the system may cause serious injury.
NOTE
You may find it useful to use a magnetized screwdriver when removing or replacing
mounting screws.
