NOTE
The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power
cord.

Verify that the UPS power cord is plugged in.
3.
Switch on utility power where the UPS is connected.
4.
Switch the UPS input circuit breaker to the ON (

Wait for the UPS front panel display to illuminate.
The
indicator flashes on the UPS.

Check the UPS front panel display for active alarms or notices (other than "Batteries Disconnected").
Resolve any active alarms before continuing (see "Troubleshooting" on page 135).

Verify that the "Batteries Disconnected" alarm has cleared. Verify that no other alarms appear on the UPS

front panel to view the active alarms. Correct the alarms and restart if necessary.
10. Press any button on the front panel display to activate the menu options. Select TURN UPS ON/OFF ,

The UPS should be in Normal mode. By default, Normal mode operates on the High Efficiency setting (see
"Normal Mode" on page 97).

Starting a Parallel System

To start a parallel system (see Figure 60 on page 74):
1.
Verify that all UPS circuit breakers are in the OFF (O) position.
NOTE
The load connector breaker controls the load connector only, not the output power
cord.
2.
Verify that all UPS power cords are plugged in and secured by the plug retainers (see Figure 65 on
page 81).
3.
Verify that all redundant signal cables are connected.
4.
Switch on utility power where the UPSs are connected.
5.
Switch the UPS input circuit breakers on each UPS to the ON (
