Preassembled System Installation
The preassembled system comes with the BladeUPS Bar, wireway, and BladeUPS modules already installed.
For configurations with five and six UPS systems, some batteries are shipped uninstalled for better weight
distribution.

Inspecting the Equipment
If any equipment has been damaged during shipment, keep the shipping cartons and packing materials for the
carrier or place of purchase, and file a claim for shipping damage. If you discover damage after acceptance, file
a claim for concealed damage.
To file a claim for shipping damage or concealed damage: 1) File with the carrier within 15 days of receipt of the
equipment; 2) Send a copy of the damage claim within 15 days to your service representative.
Tools Required
To assemble the components, you may need the following tools:
Medium flat-bladed screwdriver

Short- and long-handled #2 Phillips
l
6-inch extension bar (or longer)
l
Ratcheting socket wrench and socket for 3/8- inch and 10/24-sized screws
l
7 mm, 8 mm wrench or socket
l
Adjustable Crescent wrench
l
Utility knife
l
Adjustable pliers
l
Forklift or pallet jack
l
Step ladder
l
NOTE
For instructions on how to install the optional Maintenance Bypass Module (MBM),
refer to the user's guide for the MBM.
NOTE
Use safety best practices when standing on a ladder.
