Does jitter appear at the leading edge of copies?

Does the interval of jitter change when making reduced
copies?

Check the main drive belt. Replace the tensioner spring if it is
stretched.
Clean the scanner guide rods; then, apply a small amount of Launa oil to
the lubricant pad (if dry).
Is the scanner wire tension correct?
Y N

Rehook the tension spring or replace it if stretched.
Check all mechanical parts for incorrect operation.
