Output expander jam service check

Action
Step 1
Is the output expander the only output option installed?
Step 2
Remove all output options and re-install only the expander.
Enter Diagnostics Menu and navigate to:
OUTPUT BIN TESTS > Feed Tests >Output Bin 1
Select Single.
Does the output option feed normally?
Step 3
Check the auto connector end of the option previously installed below the
expander.
Is it free of damage?
Step 4
Check the lower interface cable. If damaged, then replace the lower
interface cable. Go to
"Lower interface cable removal" on page
Remove the left cover. Reseat the cable (J1) on the controller PCBA, then
POR the machine.
Does the error remain?
Step 5
Enter Diagnostics Menu and navigate to:
OUTPUT BIN TESTS > Sensor Test
Manually toggle the sensor (pass through) and sensor (rear door).
Does the display on the operator panel change every time the sensing
area of the above sensors are interrupted or blocked?
Step 6
Open the rear door. Check the sensor flag for damage. Manually actuate
the sensor flag and check if it functions properly. If damaged, then replace
the output expander assembly. Go to
removal" on page
446.
Open the left cover and reseat the sensor connections on the controller
PCBA. POR the machine.
Does the error remain?

and test each option
for errors. Proceed
with the appropriate
service check based on
the error message and
the output option
being tested.
