Replacing a Failing Power Supply Unit
R
eplace only a failing power supply unit.
IMPORTANT:
NOT E:
If two power supply units work normally while the server contains three or four power
supply units in a redundant configuration, the failing power supply unit can be replaced with the
system operating (power-on state). (Skip step 2.)
1.
Check th
e POWER lamp on the power supply unit and determine which unit needs to be replaced.
The lamp
of the failing power supply unit is off.
2.
Shutdown the system, and turn off the server.
3.
Wh
ile pressing down on the locking tab, grasp the handle and ca

ply bay.
IMPORTANT:

If you are not going to install a replacement power supply unit, you must
