Traceroute operation

This section uses the IPv4 traceroute operation as an example. The IPv6 traceroute operation is the same
as IPv4 traceroute operation.
Before performing a traceroute operation, execute the ip ttl-expires enable command on intermediate
devices to enable the sending of ICMP timeout packets and execute the ip unreachables enable
command on the destination device to enable the sending of ICMP destination unreachable packets.
To perform a traceroute operation:
1.
Select Network > Diagnostic Tools from the navigation tree.
2.
Click the IPv4 Traceroute tab.

Type the IP address or host name of the destination device in the Trace Route field.
4.
Click Start.
5.
View the output in the Summary area.
