Installing RMX Manager for Secure
Communication Mode
The RMX Manager is faster than the RMX Web Client and can give added efficiency to RMX
management tasks, especially when deployed on workstations affected by:
The RMX Manager cannot be downloaded from a site, operating in Secure Communication
Mode, without a valid TLS certificate.
In order to install the RMX Manager, the workstation must have the following installed:
The following procedures can be used to obtain a TLS certificate and download the RMX
Manager from an RMX operating in Secure Communication Mode.

Procedure 1

This (recommended) procedure uses the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) field of the Create
Certificate Request dialog box to bypass:
Step 1: Create/Purchase a Certificate.

Be sure to enter the RMX's IP Address into both the DNS Name and IP Address field variables of
the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) field.
Step 2: Reset the RMX.

Step 3: Install the RMX Manager.
