After initial setup, the Serial Gateway is configured, managed and monitored via the RMX
Web Client / RMX Manger. For more information see "Setting Up Your Polycom RMX Serial
Gateway S4GW" in the RMX Serial Gateway S4GW System User Guide.

Multiple Serial Gateways

Beginning with Version V7.5.2.J, support for directly connected multiple RMX Serial Gateway
S4GW s to RMX 2000/4000 systems was introduced as shown in
Figure 5-2

Guidelines

Network infrastructure with direct connection of multiple Serial Gateway S4GWs
Serial Gateway(s) are supported on RMX 1500/2000/4000 systems.
Only one Serial Gateway can be connected directly to an RMX 1500.
From Version 7.5.2.J:
— An RMX 2000 with 2 RTM-LAN cards installed can support up to 3 Serial Gateways.
(If 4 Serial Gateways are deployed, connection to an external network is not
possible.)
