Execute the HDLM-configuration definition utility (dlmcfgmgr -r).

Based on the SCSI device created in step 3, an HDLM device for the path
configured in step 1 is added.
The following is an example of executing the dlmcfgmgr utility:
# /sbin/dlmcfgmgr -r

Restart the host on which the HDLM is installed.

If you performed step 3 and step 4, the host does not have to be
restarted. Go to step 6.
While restarting, the HDLM device mapped with the path configured in the
above step 1 is added automatically.

Refer to /var/opt/DynamicLinkManager/log/dlmcfgmgr1.log or

execute the dlmcfgmgr utility (dlmcfgmgr -v) to check if an LU was
created with a new HDLM device name.
The following is an example of executing the dlmcfgmgr utility:
# /sbin/dlmcfgmgr -v

Adding a Path to an Existing LU

To add a path to an existing LU (HDLM device):

Use the management program of the storage system to configure an

additional path from an LU mapped with the relevant HDLM device to the
relevant host.
For more information on configuring an additional path, see the manual
provided with the storage system.

When you want to add a path to the LU without restarting the host,

perform step 3 and step 4. When you want to add a path to the LU while
restarting the host, go to step 5.

Create a SCSI device for each path configured in step 1.

Since the host has not been restarted, the SCSI device for the path that
was added in step 1 was not created. Execute the command for adding
the device shown in

Execute the HDLM-configuration definition utility (dlmcfgmgr -r).

Based on the SCSI device created in step 3, the path configured in step 1
is added as a path for the HDLM device.
