General notes
14.1.1
Repair and conversion concept
The Endress+Hauser repair and conversion concept provides for the following:
• The measuring devices have a modular design.
• Spare parts are grouped into logical kits with the associated Installation Instructions.
• Repairs are carried out by Endress+Hauser Service or by appropriately trained customers.
• Certified devices can only be converted to other certified devices by Endress+Hauser
Service or at the factory.
14.1.2
Notes for repair and conversion
For repair and conversion of a measuring device, observe the following notes:
‣
Use only original Endress+Hauser spare parts.
‣
Carry out the repair according to the Installation Instructions.
‣
Observe the applicable standards, federal/national regulations, Ex documentation (XA)
and certificates.
‣
Document all repairs and conversions and enter the details in Netilion Analytics.
14.2
Spare parts
Device Viewer (www.endress.com/deviceviewer):
All the spare parts for the measuring device, along with the order code, are listed here and
can be ordered. If available, users can also download the associated Installation
Instructions.
Measuring device serial number:
• Is located on the nameplate of the device.
• Can be read out via the Serial number parameter (→ 142) in the Device
information submenu.

Endress+Hauser offers a wide range of services.
Your Endress+Hauser Sales Center can provide detailed information on the services.
14.4
Return
The requirements for safe device return can vary depending on the device type and
national legislation.
1. Refer to the web page for information:

Select the region.
2. If returning the device, pack the device in such a way that it is reliably protected
against impact and external influences. The original packaging offers the best
protection.
