To prevent the inner source from toppling over and causing injury, stand it
upright on its handle on a flat bench.

Prepare the instrument so you can work safely on the source (see

Remove the inner source assembly from the instrument (see
assembly).
3.
Stand the inner source upright on its handle on a flat surface.

Allow the source to cool.
5.
Holding the filament housing assembly, push it down and then rotate it approximately 30°
in a counter-clockwise direction.
