1. Measure cam height. Replace if it is less than specified
value.

2. Measure cam shaft journal outer diameters
Replace cam shaft or cylinder head if either of the diameters
is less than specified value.

Cylinder Head Journal Inner Diameter
18.010 - 18.025 mm

3. Measure cylinder head journal inner diameter
pump journal inner diameter
clearances are obtained by
Replace cam shaft, cylinder head or oil pump if either of the
clearances is over specified value.
Oil Clearance : Standard Value :
0.02 - 0.05 mm (0.0008 - 0.0020 in)
Functional Limit :
0.09 mm (0.0035 in)
If oil clearance is over functional limit, replace
any of cylinder head, cam shaft and oil pump
or all of them as a set, and check that the
clearance is within specified range.
