1. Check commutator
sand paper of No. 600 or by air-blowing.
2. Measure commutator
motor ass'y if outer diameter is less than specified value.
Commutator Outer Diameter : Standard Value
20.0 mm (0.788 in)
Wear Limit :
19.7 mm (0.776 in)
3. Measure undercut
motor ass'y if less than specified value.
Commutator Undercut : Standard Value
0.5 - 0.8 mm (0.020 - 0.031 in)
Wear limit
0.3 mm (0.012 in)
4. Check electrical conductivity of armature
motor ass'y if other than specified condition.
Armature Conductivity :
between commutator segments
Between Segment - Armature Core
Between Segment - Armature Shaft

of commutator . Replace starter
