Configuring the
port
Standard 1.0
This section describes how to prepare a NAC port to remotely
access a Meridian MAX.
To configure the port, follow these steps.
Starting Point: NAC maintenance console
Step Action

Complete the procedure described in "Configuring the Meridian
MAX port" on page 104.

Verify that the NAC 2.5 system is shut down.
Note: For instructions on how to shut down the system, refer to
the Network Administration Center System Administration and
Maintenance Guide (NTP 553-4011-510), "Maintenance and
administration programs: system running" chapter.

Display the NAC Maintenance and Administration menu.

Select Configure NAC System.
Result: The Configure NAC System screen appears.

Select Port Assignment.
Result: The NAC Communication Port Assignment screen
appears.
Note: For more information on this screen, refer to the Network

Maintenance Guide (NTP 553-4011-510), "Maintenance and
