Replacing Assemblies
To remove and replace the acquisition board
Remove the acquisition board.

a Remove six screws that secure the acquisition board to the deck.
b Angle the front edge of the acquisition board up out of the chassis.
When installing the acquisition board, ensure the two vertical tabs (one on each side of the
probe cable connectors) are inserted into the slots of the rear panel. These tabs act as a pivot
point when angling the acquisition board onto the deck.
c Remove the acquisition board up and out of the chassis.
If needed, remove the deck from the chassis.

a Remove two screws that secure the deck to the handle brace.
b Remove one screw that secures the deck to the rear panel.
c Slide the deck out of the fourth slot of the chassis.
Reverse this procedure to install the acquisition board.

When reconnecting the cables, the ribbon cable from the CPU Board to the Acquisition Board
C A U T I O N
must not be connected to J12. This cable goes from the CPU Board to J13 (at the edge of the
Acquisition Board). If the cable is connected to J12 on the Acquisition Board equipment
damage will occur.
Check that the following assemblies are properly installed before installing the acquisition
board.

Front Panel
•
Power Supply
•
Oscilloscope or Pattern Generator Board (if installed)
•
Rear Panel
