Centering Double Reel
The reel needs to be centered on the header to avoid any contact with the endsheets.
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected start-up or fall of a raised machine, always stop the engine,
remove the key, and engage the safety props before going under the header for any reason.
1. Start the engine and set the cutterbar height at
approximately 150 mm (6 in.) above the ground.
2. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from
the ignition.
3. Measure clearances (A) at locations (B) between the reels
and the endsheets at both ends of the header. The
clearances will be the same if the reels are centered.
If adjustment is required:
4. Loosen bolt (A) on each brace (B).
5. Move the forward end of reel center support arm (C)
laterally as required to center both reels.
6. Tighten bolts (A) and torque them to 359 Nm (265 lbf∙ft).
