8. Position right reel tube (A) against the reel drive and
engage the stub shaft into the U-joint pilot hole.
9. Rotate the reel until the holes in end of the reel tube and
U-joint flange line up.
10. Apply medium-strength threadlocker (Loctite
equivalent) to four 1/2 in. bolts (A) and secure it with lock
washers.
11. Torque the bolts to 102–115 Nm (75–85 lbf∙ft).
12. Remove temporary reel support (A).

5.9.7 Replacing Drive Chain on Single Reel

The drive chain allows the hydraulic reel drive motor to turn the reel. It can be replaced if damaged or worn.
1. Loosen the drive chain. For instructions, refer to
2. Lift chain (A) off drive sprocket (B).
3. Lower the chain until free of lower sprocket (C) and remove
the chain from the drive.
4. Position new chain (A) around the bottom teeth on lower
sprocket (C).
5. Lift the chain onto drive sprocket (B) ensuring all the links
are properly engaged in the teeth.
6. Tighten the drive chain. For instructions, refer to
