3.2 Connecting to the power grid

Danger!
• The entire power supply must be disconnected before removing any covers or components
from the device and installing or removing any accessories, hardware or cables.
• Remove the power cable from the device and from the power supply.
• All covers and components, accessories, hardware and cables must be installed or secured
before the device is connected to the power supply and switched on.

3.2.1 Installing the DC power cable

Danger!
The entire power supply to the B&R industrial PC or B&R Automation Panel must be interrupted. Before
connecting the DC power cable, it must be checked whether it has been disconnected from the voltage
source (e.g. power supply).

3.2.1.1 Wiring

Install the DC power cable on the terminal block (power supply connector) as shown in the figure below. Conductors
with a cross section of 0.75 mm

Secure the conductors with wire end sleeves in the terminal contacts ➁ as shown in the figure below and tighten
the screw clamp terminals ➀ with a screwdriver (tightening torque max. 0.4 Nm).
When wiring, pay attention to the pinout of the power supply connection on the device!

Insert a screwdriver into the cage clamp terminals ➀ and secure the conductors with wire end sleeves in the terminal
contacts ➁ as shown in the figure below. Close the terminal contact by removing the screwdriver.
When wiring, pay attention to the pinout of the power supply connection on the device!
