XL2 0 0 LUBRICATION
SCREW
OIL PUMP
REMOVAL
Remove the right crankcase cover (page 8-3).
Rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the pump mounting screws
are accessible through the gear cover.
Remove the two screws and the oil pump.
OIL PUMP
DISASSEMBLY
Remove the following:
— screws
— oil pump cover
— gasket
— inner and outer rotors
— bolts
— gear cover
— rotor shaft
— pump gear
INSPECTION
Measure the outer rotor-to-body clearance.
SERVICE LIMIT: 0.25 mm (0.010 in)
