Apply a locking agent to the bolt threads and install the bearing
set plate onto the right mainshaft bearing.
TORQUE: 12 N.m (1.2 kg.m, 9 ft-lb)
Drive new bearings into the left crankcase.
Mainshaft bearing:
– Driver
– Attachment, 32 x 35 mm
– Pilot, 15 mm
Countershaft bearing:
– Driver
– Attachment, 37 x 40 mm
– Pilot, 17 mm
Crankshaft bearing:
– Driver
– Attachment, 72 x 75 mm
– Pilot, 35 mm
Apply grease to the new countershaft oil seal lips and install it.
CRANKSHAFT
REMOVAL
Remove the crankshaft from the crankcase using a hydraulic
press.
If the left crankshaft bearing remains on the crankshaft, remove it
with universal bearing puller.
If the bearing remains in the left crankcase, drive it out from the
outside.
Discard the left crankshaft bearing.
NOTE
• Always replace the left bearing with a new one whenever
the crankshaft is removed from the left crankcase.
