Replacing a Fan

Each of the thr ee exhaust fan s can be replaced indepen den tly, with most
other in terior assemblies in place, but you must first remove the fan
br acket to easily access the lower fan scr ews.

Remove all cables from the exter ior of the in str umen t, and remove the
cover (see

Remove the four # 10 Tor x flat head screws (two on each side) holding
the fan br acket to the chassis. On e sid e is shown in the illu str a tion .
All thr ee fan cables pass through a grommet on the fan br acket. Pinch
the sides of the grommet to disengage it from the fan br acket, an d
slide toward the back of the unit to fr ee the fan cables an d display
cable.
Remove the # 10 Tor x roun d head scr ew at the center of the fan
br acket near the display, holding the fan bracket to the chassis. The
scr ew is u n der the d isp la y ca ble, n ea r wher e it con n ects to the
d isp la y you m a y ha ve to m ove the ca ble slightly to the side to
a ccess the scr ew.

Remove the two # 10 Tor x screws holdin g the fan to the fan br acket.
Discon nect the fan's power cable from the car r ier board. Remove the
fan .
